MAJOR KITTIES UPDATES

hello, america!

as you may or may not know, these kitties have had been all over the place recently. namely, a cross country-drive from pittsburgh to portland.

list of places these kitties have stayed:
1. girl tent - pittsburgh, pa
2. darrick's house - milwaukee, wi
3. super 8 motel - minneapolis, mn (nicole ritchie loved it here)
4. weird local creepy spider-filled hotel - lusk, wyoming
5. ellen's house - salt lake city, utah
6. adam's apartment - portland, or

and as of last week......!
7. adam's house - portland or

the kitties have settled in, and are really enjoying the new place. there are many windows, many ledges and nooks, a window at nearly floor-level (for nicole), and a fenced-in backyard and deck to explore in the spring.

and now onto the post-move updates! at the previous apartment, bailey and nicole made a few friends in the neighborhood - tuxy, ticksy, big bailey, and creamsicle. here is bailey spying on tuxy, who is on the prowl:



and nicole ritchie trying to get in on the action. unfortunately, the window ledge was just a bit too high for her, and she is only able to watch from below.

she has made a few attempts at getting up there, but most of the time it's just too stressful.

we bought them this really nice, luxurious perforatted cardboard scratching post filled with catnip. bailey displayed absolutely no interest in such a thing, but nicole went over to check it out.

...and not scratch it.

good afternoon, america. i'm updating SGFTK one last time before we begin our journey westward, from pittsburgh to portland later this week.

since nicole has already visited hawaii before, a simple drive across the country means nothing to her. bailey, on the other hand, is terrified of most things (especially the outdoors) so this should be really fun for her. anyway, on to the cat updates!!

earlier this week, nicole ritchie was shocked to learn lady gaga is really just a fly girl
she's also pissed she will have to evacuate her post at the window (2-year member of south oakland neighborhood watch association). to be honest with you, i'm really not sure why she cares so much. she is usually asleep on the job, really.
i came home from work to find bailey in her usual spot - napping on top of my pants. i was quick enough to capture her before she freaked out and ran away. this picture pretty accurately portrays the bailums permanent face of fear.

it's been really hot these past few days, and it's really taking it's toll on the deedum.

Morning kitty fans! These kitties had a very sleeping weekend, since they stayed up late celebrating the PENGUINS winning the CUP! This Monday morning though, these kitties have been busy!

Nicole practiced walking with a leash on to prepare for her move to Portland, OR. These kitties are going on a week long trip x-country! So, a leash will give them some exercise while on the road!

Bailey is not willing to walk with the leash, and actually forces her entire body to go limp once the collar is placed on her.... I think the idea of a leash is what made her attack me this morning!!!

These kitties are celebrating the 23rd birthday of their caregiver ASHLEY!!! (below)

Last night, after Ashley opened her gifts (A day early) the kitties were in for a treat! EMPTY BOXES!!! There were several intense fights for the box shown on the left here, until I showed Bailey the one on the right was "just as good."





So, now these kitties are busy sleeping in empty boxes, to rest up for tonight's birthday and PEN'S GAME activities! Plus, BALLOON CHASING!


Happy tuesday/ BIRTHDAY!

Even these Kitties need a STAYcation.

The recession has hit America hard, and it would be unfair to assume that these kitties aren't feeling it too. No that doesn't mean that they returned the drinkwell, it means these girls have cut out lavish vacations they have been known to take (see Nicole in Honolulu). While Steph and Ash (kitty moms) are in Portland, Oregon for the weekend, the kitties earthmom, me ( jona m dumbleton) has been asked to update America on the life and time of Nicole and Bailey. On Friday the kitties hung out with hilary and me while we played with their boa toy, hilary is pretty good at it, and i am pretty bad. Saturday i brushed Nicole 3000x and we watched But I'm a Cheerleader, these kitties love Natasha Lyonne, and but dont own slum of bev hills so...,

Now i am sitting and crocheting with these kitties, i feel nicole is going to have a lot of criticism about my work, but when doesn't she, you know? Bailey had a hairball issue on friday, it seems to have cleared up. she is sitting in the window now so it seems ok, well i'll upload da pics, and then feed them a greenie and get back to gossiping with nicole.

This is the list of my instructions, i mean i am uneasy caring for living things (including myself, which i have done for 22yrs)

I walked in on Nicole look out the window, she as probably watching rebecca/rebecca's brother running and illegal tutoring center out of We Have Everything

Bailey misses ash a lot and was sleeping on ashley's "athletic" sweatshirt

Then Bailey got the physically closest to me she ever has, i capture it on a cellular phone camera

Nicole was being sort of nebby and went through my purse and also tried to lay in my shoe. i am going to count the cash in my wallet before i leave, i mean i am not saying anything Nicole...

TODAY IS NICOLE'S BIRTHDAY!!!!!

I have had the honor of caring for this baby calico for three years! :) Nicole is turning 10 today! We thought she was 3 when we adopted her from some criag's list woman. Apon reading her vet papers one day I discovered she was actually 7. Sadly, much of Nicole's life is a mystery. But Today I will celebrate 3 wonderful years with a photo montage.

When this little calico came to live with me, she was very shy. This closet picture was her favorite hiding place for the first few weeks. :)

Slowly, Nicole came to know all of the joys of living with us. This is her first "wing" night! She actually helped herself to her first quaker steak and lube wing! They were sauce-less, since Nicole hates spicy!!!
When Nicole wasn't sleeping or eating we could find her at this window! Just chillin' in the sun!

Nicole shares a birthday with her best friend Jona! To make it extra special Nicole got this new party dress for Jona's surprise 20th birthday party!!! Today Jona is 22!

Nicole is not much for water or rain, but every so often kitties need a bath! This picture is Nicole's first bath with me! She was a good kittie, but was very grumpy. :(
One night, Nicole's dreams came true! I got up to feed her and her entire bag fell out onto the floor!! She remember this night fondly!
We Moved houses with Nicole and this picture is her getting ready to meet her first new roommate! This is Nicole's first picture with "Girl Tent!" She looks so nice is that pink dress!

Soon after moving in, Nicole got a new sister- Bailey! Bailey came November 2007! This is the kitties checking out some records!
